In 2016, the National Museum of American History participated in acknowledging the tragic event that occurred on September 11th 2001. In remembering the losses that occurred on September 11th, the National Museum of American History hosted a day where visitors could witness 35 objects that were acquired from the World Trade Center's site and learn more about the event, providing various visitor's with further insight about the attack and the objects.
